🤔 MINT STRATEGY 🤔

We’re a product focused NFT project and are going to intentionally space out our mint to ensure people are continuing to mint not because of hype, hopes & dreams, but instead because we’re continuing to deliver tangible value to holders.

To achieve this, we’re going to mint in batches while still rewarding those who mint earlier:

0001 - 1111: 9th April 2022 (UTC) +10 Lil Squshies

1112 - 2222: TBA +5 Lil Squshies

2223 - 3333: TBA +3 Lil Squshies

3334 - 4444: TBA +2 Lil Squshies

These batches will also be spaced out over time, depending on demand. We’ll release more details on how minting & reveal will work, but the current plan is to reveal at the end of each batch. The post-mint games will be available for every batch right after their reveal. We are going to mint in weekly batches.

The first mint will be limited to 100 mints total.

+24hrs: reveal.

After the reveal, a 24hr public mint will be opened (capped at 1k); refer to the road map below for more information.

Why batches? Why 100 for the first one?

  1. While our Mods are working hard at bringing more collabs & eyes to the project, I believe the product itself is our strongest marketing tool - getting it out there in on Open Sea helps easily communicate what we do.
  2. This allows us to switch on our SqushyAffiliate program; so that all holders can refer future mints & get a % of that mint - another marketing tool.
  3. Our art pipeline is complex - this allows us to begin stress testing the entire process from initial generation –> updating the art when people get more Lil Squshies, giving us time to resolve bugs with a smaller group should any arise.
  4. If the holders of the first 100 aren’t seeing a return on their investment, why should we be trusted with 4,444?
  5. This is our MVP (minimal viable product), we still have so much tech to build (rarity page, build-a-squshy site, more SqushyVerse games, etc) and I want to iterate quickly based on the feedback of the first 100

  • Who can mint: Anyone with any of the @Squshlisted, @OG Squshlisted or @Squshy Elder roles.
  • Mint price: 0.05 eth.
  • Discounts: - 0.01 eth per completed puzzle held + further discounts & free mints coming in the upcoming Scavenger Hunt.
  • Wen Puzzle? I will be running a script through puzzle pieces tonight to see what can we flip & what can we join, to get as many finished pieces as possible.
  • Wen Lil Squshies If you hold a puzzle piece, you’ll also get +3 extra Lil Squshies & the first 1,111 to mint will get +10.
  • Wen Game(s)? I’m still working to get a game pre-mint; we’ve had some delays due to other commitments, sorry this is on me.
  • Wen Puzzle Prizes A wallet will be setup that the smart contract pays out to, to start to build up the eth required to cover prizes - more on this to come in a ✨︰dev-updates post when the contract is deployed.

As mentioned in the mint strategy section above, we’re going with a deliberately spaced out mint. In between these batches of mints, a Squshy product will be released. Refer to the diagram below:

🎨 ART 🎨

Every Squshy NFT is a unique physics simulation video containing at least 1 big Squshy, and as many lil Squshies as the holder owns. You can see our art on 🎁︰sneak-peeks (Discord Channel) - this is 1:1 with what the actual NFT will look like.

🛠️ UTILITY 🛠️

Owning a Squshy NFT is your token to the SqushyArcade; our website where you can play games to win (or potentially lose!) Lil Squshies.

What can you do with the Lil Squshies you win?

  1. win eth & NFT prizes.
  2. play more games.
  3. update your NFT’s animation with them falling around your Big Squshy, further differentiating yours and making it more unique.
  4. upgrade the rarity of your Big Squshy; animations, different physics properties, different elemental materials.
  5. vote on the future products / games that Squshy Labs builds.

⌛ RECAP⌛

Squshy is a product focused project.

This means we are not reliant on hype, fomo and wild speculation. As with every NFT, secondary sales will be what the market determines. We cannot predict, nor can we promise.

But what we can do is provide value to token holders via utility within the SqushyLabs ecosystem. Right from day one.

Squshy Labs builds web3 products & games, Squshy NFT holders can use the products & play the games, and are rewarded with Lil Squshies.

This is why we’re deliberately doing a slow mint, and why we aren’t interested in grinding Discord activity for rewards; we want people to hang out & mint because they actually enjoy our product; whether they mint on the 9th of April or 9th of May, June, or July. Having more or less minters does not affect our plans; just means less people to compete with on the leaderboards.

🤏 LIL SQUSHIES 🤏

Lil Squshies are small Squshies that fall around your Big Squshy. You can win / lose Lil Squshies but you can never lose your Big Squshy.

What can you do with the Lil Squshies you win?

  1. win prizes
  2. play more games.
  3. update your NFT’s animation with them falling around your Big Squshy, further differentiating yours and making it more unique.
  4. upgrade the rarity of your Big Squshy; animations, different physics properties, different elemental materials.
  5. vote on the future products / games that Squshy Labs builds
  6. vote on prizes

Our original plan was to be airdropping puzzle holders Lil Squshies - we’ve since changed how Lil Squshies work technically, so instead puzzle holders will get an extra 4 Lil Squshies right off the bat when they mint the main collection.

💎 RARITY💎

Because our focus is on product development > manufactured hype & artificial scarcity, rarity will be used as a tool to reward loyal & early squshers.

At mint there will only be 10 rare squshies. All other squshies will be more or less equal.

There will be a table on the rarity levels published in our whitepaper, pre-mint, but for example it’ll look something like:

Level 1 shatter
Level 2 reverse gravity
Level 3 wind
Level 4 fire
Level 5 water
Level 6 gold

etc.

n (tbd) lil squshies can be cashed in to move up a level, update your artwork, and therefore its rarity.

While your animation updates on OpenSea, all historical animations will be viewable & downloadable on our site for every token.

Revenue from Squshy NFT does not fund Squshy Labs; it’s used to cover prizes, mods / staff & cloud computing costs involved in updating the NFT’s animations. So other than our mint, the Squshy NFT community will not be paying for Squshy Lab products - our community here is not the customer but instead builders alongside us.

Squshy NFT provides Squshy Labs with:

  • a product incubator.
  • a marketing engine.
